As you may have seen in the news the swimming pool industry has recently been the subject of new Federal legislation. Specifically, all commercial swimming pools and spas will be affected by the Virginia Graeme Baker Act. This act will make swimming pool suction fittings safer from hair entanglement, entrapment and evisceration.
This federal law applies directly to all commercial swimming pool/spa main drains, equalizer lines and vacuum lines. Each pool/spa must be brought into compliance with this new law before it will be allowed to open in 2009. There will be no exceptions.
Klimat Master Pools has the knowledge and capability to most cost effectively bring your swimming pool into full compliance with the new law.
The federal law does not, at this time, directly affect residential swimming pools and spas. However, these changes will make residential pools and spas safer and it is strongly recommended that these changes be made. We will recommend the changes that should be made to your pool/spa. Klimat Master Pools will consult with you about this important issue as the season opens.
